Pavāru māja (Chefs Workshop)

Pavaru maja (Chefs workshop) is a restaurant getaway to escape the city routine and share slow moments with your loved ones while experiencing the brightest flavors from our region.

We cook using seasonal products from local farmers and wildlife, paying a special
attention to the slow food philosophy, which stands for sustainable farming and a
sustainable attitude towards the environment and people. We continue exploring and
discovering the unique flavors of natural foods that are characteristic only to our region,
making our food even more contemporary.

The restaurant is open every weekend, inviting guests to enjoy a 4-course (lunch) or
6-course (dinner) degustation menu from the brightest flavors in our region by chef Juris
Dukalskis and the team.

The garden surrounding Pavāru māja is a life-long dream of the host Ēriks. It is an
opportunity to stop, listen and learn about nature — bird songs, bug hotels,
butterfly-attracting flowers and bushes, and raised beds of herbs and vegetables. It's a
public space for everyone to see things from a new perspective and to slow down.

The restaurant is located in the historical center of Līgatne paper mill in the building that was the maternity hospital of Ligatne.
