LĪGATNE - CĒSIS

Length of the hike is approximately 28 km, if walking, then the trail takes up to 10 hours (Līgatne Tourism information centre - Historical centre of Līgatne Paper Mill village - Anfabrikas Cliff - Skaļupe - Ķūķu Cliff – River Amata - Rakši Cliff - Mount Vāļukalns - Cēsis) 

When taking the trail, you will be able to partly see the historical 19th century village of Līgatne Paper Mill, several sandstone cliffs in Līgatne – Lustūzis cliff and Anfabrikas cliff, river Skaļupe, unique Ķūķu cliffs, river Amata, Rakšu cliff located at the left coast of river Rakšupe, Cēsis – an opportunity to take a look at Cēsis castle from middle ages, as well as the new Cēsis castle, and take a walk along the old town.
